We can use all in maintenance phase, but Lamictal and Valproate most effective in preventing relapse in depression phase. If I have to choose one: I will go with LAMOTRIGINE (*)
Lithium, Olanzapine, Aripiprazole are most effective in preventing manic relapses.
Quetiapine is best for preventing manic relapses in both bipolar 1 and bipolar 2 (first line in bipolar 2).
