(a) Males with Autism are heavier at birth & Females with autism are product of post term pregnancies, compared to general population.
(b) Chromosome regions 7,2,4,15 & 19 are likely to contribute to genetic basis of autism.
(c) Brain enlargement has been suggested as a possible biological marker for autistic disorder.
(d) Compared to Females, Males with autistic disorder are more likely to have severe mental retardation.
(e) Children with autistic disorder & mental retardation typically show marked deficit in abstract reasoning, than in performance tasks.
