Video: Tongue Faciculations
Fasciculations are visible, irregular, and involuntary contractions of individual muscle fibers caused by damage to lower motor neurons.
This video shows fasciculations of intrinsic tongue muscles secondary to left lingual nerve involvement in metastatic cervical lymph nodes. The tongue deviated to the left on protrusion.
