Children With Autism Benefit from Early, Intensive Therapy
Children With Autism Benefit from Early, Intensive Therapy
This is a very important article, since many parents wait too long to have their child evaluated. One can't always depend on the child's pediatrician to make the right decision for you. Pediatricians are not experts in Autism and often miss the tell-tale signs and advise parents to wait too long to see if the child will begin talking, socializing, make eye contact, etc! The concerned parent must be pro-active and get to a developmental pediatrician preferably, or a pediatric neurologist or child psychiatrist specializing specializing in Autism as second choices.
